Luke 19:11-27『And as they heard these things, he added and sparked a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said to him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, thou hast authority over ten cities. And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takesst up that thou layst not down, and reapest that thou. did not sow. And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.』

This parable is similar to the parable of the talents in the Gospel of Matthew. However, it is different from the parable of the talents. Church people think through this parable that if they evangelize well, God will reward them. The core of this parable is to see how people understood and acted on what Jesus Christ said when He died on the cross, rose again, and went to His Father. This parable clearly shows those who are saved and those who are not saved.

This parable was told when Jesus died on the cross, was resurrected, and ascended to heaven. Jesus died on the cross and fulfilled the law, but what he left to the world was not the law, but the word of resurrection life, the gospel of grace. The word of life was expressed as bread. In John 6:48-51, “I am that bread of life.” Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.』These words are fulfilled by Jesus through his death on the cross, and through his resurrection, through resurrection life.

Talent (Greek) is called 『Kikar』 in Hebrew, and was one of the shewbreads of the sanctuary. In other words, it represents the law. In Deuteronomy 18:22, “When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follows not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.』 The future prophet appointed by God is Jesus Christ. So, the parable of the talents and the parable of the minas are for believers to see whether “what Jesus Christ did has experience and fulfillment.”

The Greek word for “business” is called “elgajomai.” Jesus performed the miracle of five loaves and two fish. So the Jews tried to make Jesus king. Jesus learned of this and fled the scene. The next day, the Jews came again. Jesus said, “The reason you came to me was not because you saw a sign, but because you ate and were satisfied. Do not work for food that perishes, but work for food that endures for eternal life.” “Work.” This is 『Elgajomai』. It is called ‘Abad’ in Hebrew. Working means cultivating. Cultivation involves sowing seeds and harvesting fruits. Spiritually, it means that believers must plow the fields of their hearts to contain God’s words of resurrection and life. So, the fruit that comes from the saints is the life of heaven. The word 『El gajomai』, 『doing work』, was used in this sense. In other words, this is what the word “do business” means..

The phrase “buried with talents” means to discover eternal life “through the bread of life (resurrection) obtained through the preceding process.” Jesus gave the saints five talents, two talents, and one talent. Five refers to the law. He did business with five talents (the law) and made five talents, which became ten talents. The ten talents signify the completion of the law. The fulfillment of the law is the death of Jesus Christ. Through Christ’s death, he left behind bread (resurrection) and wine (forgiveness of sins). The parable of Dalat is a word spoken to Israel. Those who left behind talents are those who fulfill the law and gain resurrection life in Christ. Two talents are two living breads (resurrection). The person who received two talents earned two talents. The believer gave the two living loaves (resurrection) to others and bore the fruit of resurrection. The saint spread the resurrection to another person, so that heavenly life could be opened to him or her. The one who received one talent took one bread and buried it in the ground. He made it so that no one could know about the resurrection. This is not a present resurrection, but those who think that resurrection can be achieved after the body dies (buries in the ground).

In Matthew 23:13-15, “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!” for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! “For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” “Believers buried in the ground” means that believers believe in the present death of the cross, but The present resurrection is for those who hold a half-gospel that they do not believe in. Since he believes in the resurrection that will happen one day after the death of his body, he is spiritually dead.

The metaphor of ten pounds is expressed almost in the same way as talent. However, the parable of ten pounds is that ten pounds (live bread: resurrection) were given to ten people. “Bury until I return.” And, someone says, “I left ten pounds with one pound.” The word ten (10) refers to the whole world. The word 『do business』 here is different from 『Elgajomai』 in the parable of the talents.

The Greek word 『Pragma duomai』 comes from 『Phraso』. This means ‘doing’. In 2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.』 “What was done in the body” means the accomplishment of (resurrection) death on the cross with Jesus Christ. it means. In other words, this means dying with Jesus (drinking his blood) and being resurrected with Christ (eating his flesh). Eat the flesh of Jesus, drink his blood, and become a person who has righteous resurrection life. Doing business with ten pounds means sharing resurrection life. Doing business without paying anything.

『Thy pound hath gained ten pounds,』 “ten pounds” means that the Word is complete. This means that we have become righteous (resurrected life) through the body and blood of Jesus. 『And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, thou hast authority over ten cities.』The city means the city of Jerusalem. The city of Jerusalem is a shadow of the true temple (New Jerusalem). The ten cities refer to the city of New Jerusalem. Authority means authority that comes from heaven. Coming from heaven means that a new temple comes down from heaven in the hearts of believers in present-day resurrection, and God enters that temple.

A person who received 5 pounds also says that he had 5 pounds left over from 1 pound. So the owner said, “And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.” The word “five” means that there are many who have to harvest. Those who “behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin” are those who believe in physical resurrection. Since the treasure is hidden in the veil, there is no present resurrection, which means there is no life in heaven.

『Wherefore then did not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?』Here, the word bank (Greek: trapeza) means 『table』 in Greek. It refers to the table of bread and bread (resurrection). In Hebrews 9:2, “For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; Which is called the sanctuary.』 In Exodus 25:30, 『And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.』 This means, “Why did you not put the living bread (resurrection life) of Jesus Christ on the table?” will be. If you put living bread on the table, anyone could eat it and gain resurrection life, but that is not what it means. When a believer eats the bread of life, a new life is born. The sin of the one who hides the bread is a great one. A hidden person is a person who believes in the resurrection of the body, and is a person for whom the present resurrection has not occurred.
